An exciting assembly with Rev. Burnside

We were treated to a super assembly with Mr Burnside today.  He was sharing with us the meaning of pancake day and he demonstrated how to make some delicious pancakes too!  Yum!

He told us that we, at Stromness Primary School, are like a pancake mixture.  We are all important ingredients and they are all needed together to make something work well.  That was a really nice thought.

We then held the Stromness Primary World Record attempt at Pancake Tossing.

The world record is currently 416 full turns in 2 minutes.

2 volunteers were chosen to try to beat the world record.
