Lighthouse Challenge

Part 2

Now that we had our circuits built we had to turn our attention to the structure of the lighthouse. 

Our main resources were some recycled plastic milk bottles and a variety of cardboard boxes. 

We had to decide what we wanted our lighthouse to look like and begin to put our materials together.  We also had to think about how to store the power source (battery) and how to connect the bulb to the top of the lighthouse.  This was quite a challenge for some of us but we all got there in the end.

Here we are building our models.

We used paper mache to strengthen our models and will decorate them after the February break.  We are looking forward to adding our circuits back in and seeing the lighthouse shine!
