Getting ready for Christmas in P6

 

In the run up to Christmas we had lots of fun and took part in various Christmas related activities.

 

First we decorated the class Christmas tree...

 

We had a Christmas Craft day...

 



we used our craft box to make some 3D Christmas trees, finger painted wrapping paper, Christmas hand puppets, clay tree decorations and pom pom tree decorations.  It was good fun...

 

Down in the hall we split into girl/boy teams and built a new sleigh for Santa...which design do you like the best?

The boys design included a range of new 'technology' such as present cannons...

Where as the girls team took care of comfort and style...

 

The whole school got involved in a House Team Challenge.  We split into the 4 houses of Rysa, Cava, Switha and Fara and competed against each other to build the longest paper chain.  Switha won the challenge but all team worked REALLY well together.  It was great to watch and be part of!

Santa brought us a great gift....a trip to the swimming pool!

 Trying to make it to the end of the runway...it was really tricky, especially when Mr MacLeod was wobbling it about! :0)

 

 

Miss Hutchison kindly offered to bake some Christmas goodies with us.

We made truffles, doodle bugs and buns. 



 

We had great fun this Christmas.  It was a lovely way to end a super year in the old school....and we are really looking forward to having as much fun in the new school in 2013!
