Rocket Race Maths Challenge

 

In Primary 6 we like to combine our learning of different topic together.

 

Here we have the rectangles maths group completing a maths challenge using the theme of Space.

 

The rules:

Player 1 rolls 3 dice.  Using the numbers displayed on the dice they have to make sum to give an answer from the first level on the rocket.

 

Other players do the same.  If you cannot make a sum with one of the answers then you have to miss a turn.  One of the other players may be able to steal though!

 

On your next turn you use your 3 numbers to make a sum with an answer from the 2nd row, and so on.

 

The first player to reach the top of the rocket wins and blasts off into space!!!

 

This was a fun game to help us improve our knowledge of number and the 4 maths operations (addition, subtraction, multipliction and division)
