A Visit from Barry!

On Wednesday 20th February we were very lucky to meet a real life author!  Barry Hutchison came into class to talk to us about being a writer and to give us some tips for writing our own stories.  He was very funny and told us some stories which made us all laugh!  He also gave us some excellent tips for writing our own stories. 

We used the tips Barry gave us to start writing our own stories and they have turned out pretty well!  We have typed them onto the laptops and we plan on emailing them to Barry so that he can read them.  He said he might be able to put them on his website so we may get our writing published!  We will let you know if and when this happens!

We are stilly reading Mr Mumbles as our class novel and it is just starting to get really good now!  Some of his books are available from Stromness Books and Prints if anyone would like to buy copies.
